We woke up to this scene early our first morning. Snow is a seldom sight here but it was definitely a welcome one on our part.
Being seriously jet-lagged (waking up at 3:00 am), we were out and about making a snowman - the first one ever for my youngest and the second for my eldest. Quite the occasion! The neighbours must have thought we were nuts being out so early!
Here you see the Olympic mountain range over in the US and the Pacific Ocean, the latter just a short walk away.
A few hours later the snow melted away. Save the suffering snowman, one would never have guessed that the ground had been white. To add insult to injury (for the snowman), the sneaky (rein?)deer ran off with his carrot nose in the night.
No more long trips for these kiddos for a while! Luckily we have so much to discover just in our little nook of the world.
No matter where you are, have a Happy, Inspiring, Productive and Healthy New Year!
Christine

What a great place to relocate to! My parents live just across the straight in Port Angeles, and the Pacific NW is a gorgeous place to come home to. I hope you enjoy your new home there!
ReplyDeleteWe love it, especially the view towards Port Angeles! Please be sure to thank your parents for the great scenery they provide for us. Cheers!
