Tempest quilt finished

The third and final aunt gets a sofa quilt. This was the easiest quilt to make, but has taken the longest to finish. It is off to Switzerland at this very moment.

The quilt measures approximately 50"x70" (127cm x 178cm) and is batted with synthetic fleece for some extra warmth. 

Here's the back made with leftover purples and browns from my stash.

I ended up stippling it, which was happily a quick process.

I snuck in a striped fabric in the binding, just to make it a little more fun. It picked up the colors from the quilt nicely.
